Tell us why and if you will stop coding!

Fun project to understand how the industry is moving forward given the onslaught of AI & AI coders. Will we ever require a human to code?

Tell us why & what you feel!

If you feel your startup or tool can stop people from coding. Let's talk!

Why this project?

So since 2022 I have been following how & if AI or a.k.a GenAI will eliminate jobs & specifically software coders. It intrigued me to put this project to understand up right & personal from actual programmer & how they feel this will end. We will share the sentiments on a regular basis, please bookmark this page for further updates.

Day 1!

March 2025

Jake Sullivan

March 6, 2025, 9:25 AM

"With AI now generating high-quality code, I’m considering taking a step back. I’ll still code occasionally, but I’m focusing more on AI-driven solutions in my new career."

Grace Adams

March 3, 2025, 2:45 PM

"I’ve always loved coding, but AI can do so much more now. I’m diving into AI-powered application development instead of traditional coding."

Isaac Murphy

March 1, 2025, 11:00 AM

"I’ve been coding for over 10 years, but AI is now automating so much of what I used to do. I’m switching to AI management and will focus less on actual coding."

February 2025

Aaron Patel

February 1, 2025, 9:50 AM

AI has gotten too good at automating code. I’m stepping into AI product development. I’ll occasionally code, but AI is making it too easy to justify doing it myself."

Laura Green

February 4, 2025, 1:20 PM

"As an AI developer, I’ve seen the potential. It’s not about coding anymore—it’s about understanding how to work with AI. I’m shifting my career to AI strategy."

Daniel Brown

February 6, 2025, 8:55 AM

"AI can now write code faster than I can. I’m excited about transitioning to AI integration rather than traditional software development. I won’t stop coding, but it won’t be my primary job anymore."

Olivia Clark

February 9, 2025, 4:05 PM

"I’ve been coding for years, but now AI is taking over most tasks. I’m planning to shift my focus to teaching others how to work with AI and not just write code."

Kevin Nguyen

February 11, 2025, 7:40 AM

I’m watching AI code faster and smarter than ever, and it’s hard to keep up. I’m stepping away from full-time development to focus more on AI research and its applications."

Emma Richards

February 13, 2025, 2:25 PM

"I used to love coding, but AI is changing the game. I think I’m ready to stop writing code and focus on the higher-level aspects of AI deployment."

Jan 2025

Michael Robertson

January 29, 2025, 9:45 AM

"AI has taken over so much of the heavy lifting, I’m not sure there’s much left for me to do. I’ll still dabble with coding, but my focus is shifting towards teaching AI models how to better solve problems."

Jessica Tran

January 28, 2025, 2:30 PM

"AI can now do everything I do in half the time. It’s time for me to pivot and explore more business-focused roles. Coding? I’ll leave that to the machines."

Carlos Jimenez

January 28, 2025, 8:10 AM

"I’ve been watching AI development closely, and it’s made me rethink my role. I’m stepping away from coding to focus on AI ethics. I’ll keep my eye on the code, but my heart’s not in it anymore."

Anna Thompson

January 20, 2025, 4:15 PM

"I’ve been watching AI development closely, and it’s made me rethink my role. I’m stepping away from coding to focus on AI ethics. I’ll keep my eye on the code, but my heart’s not in it anymore."

Jonathan Park

January 18, 2025, 11:25 AM

"Honestly, the speed at which AI can code is impressive. I’m getting into AI integration instead of spending hours writing every line. My coding days are winding down."

Sophia Rodriguez

January 14, 2025, 6:45 PM

"AI has taken over coding for simple tasks, and I’m tired of maintaining legacy code. I’ll probably step back and look into AI research—coding feels outdated now."

Ethan Carter

January 5, 2025, 10:00 AM

"AI coding assistants are making things so efficient. I’ve decided to use my coding skills for building better AI models, but I’m moving away from traditional software development."

Maya Gupta

January 3, 2025, 3:20 PM

"As much as I enjoy coding, AI is getting too powerful. I think I’ll leave it to the machines and focus more on AI education. I’m not stopping completely, but I’m not going to keep up with every framework change either."

James Foster

January 3, 2025, 9:30 AM

"I’ve seen how fast AI tools are growing, and the prospect of coding forever feels exhausting. I’ll still be involved in tech, but coding isn’t something I’m passionate about anymore."

Lily Walker

January 2, 2025, 7:15 PM

"AI is doing so much of what I used to spend hours coding. I’m diving into AI model training and will leave the manual coding to those who enjoy it. No more full-time dev work for me."
